Battery installs, tire/spare swaps, basic fluid top-offs, simple parts swaps (wipers, filters, bulbs), assist work, and similar non-diagnostic, non-complex tasks. Diagnostic work, electrical tracing, and complex repairs are out of scope.
No. Diagnostic scanning, code reading with recommendations, and electrical diagnosis are outside the DIY helper scope. These require a licensed mechanic tier.
DIY helpers are strongly encouraged to carry personal liability coverage. Customers are informed of your non-licensed status before booking. JMeC Connect does not provide insurance coverage for helpers.
Yes. If you become a licensed mechanic and want to apply for the licensed mechanic partner tier, you can submit a new mechanic application when ready.
No specific tool list is required, but you must only accept jobs that match your actual tools and capabilities. Accepting jobs you cannot complete harms your helper record.
