Partner Questions

How do mechanics find my inventory?

Mechanics and shops in the JMeC network who need parts are routed to salvage yards that serve their ZIP area and stock the relevant parts category. Your yard appears as a sourcing option for active job requests.

Do I need an EPA compliance certification?

You are not required to submit a formal EPA certificate, but you must acknowledge EPA-compliant practices for fluid drainage and vehicle disposal as part of the signup process. Salvage yards are responsible for their own environmental compliance.

Is an organized inventory system required?

A formal software-based inventory system is not required to join. However, you must be able to confirm parts availability when a referral comes in. Inaccurate availability responses affect your listing quality.

Can I list rare or specialty parts?

Yes. Specialty and hard-to-find parts are a key value of salvage yard listings. Listing specific inventory categories (diesel engines, import transmissions, vintage body panels, etc.) improves match accuracy.

How are referrals tracked?

When a mechanic or shop is routed to your yard through a JMeC referral, the connection is logged. Pay-per-referral billing is based on confirmed referrals, not just page views.

Is referral volume guaranteed?

No. JMeC Connect does not guarantee any minimum referral volume. Activity depends on customer and mechanic demand in your area and your current listing status.
